OCS Overhead Conveyor System is currently seeking a Project Engineer to the headquarters in Viared, Borås. As a Project Engineer, your work involves product and project-related development, including steel structures, conveyor components, elevators, product carriers, fixtures, lifting tools, and prototypes. OCS primarily handles comprehensive assignments and delivers as much as possible using in-house resources. As a Project Engineer, you will work on several customer-specific projects within a cross-functional team consisting of a Project Manager, Designers, and Assemblers, allowing you to engage in varied tasks.
In addition to development and design, OCS also performs pre-assembly and test builds at the Viared headquarters before final assembly at the customer’s site. This means you will follow the process from sketch to final result, being actively involved in every stage. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to influence your career development, focusing either on advanced technical design or leadership and project management.
This role is ideal for someone with a genuine technical interest in both mechanics and automation. You are a flexible team player who enjoys working in project-based teams. With strong social skills and a high level of personal maturity, you will act as a representative for OCS, consulting with customers on various solution proposals. You are adept at shifting focus quickly as you work on multiple parallel projects and take responsibility for driving your tasks forward.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare documentation for cost-effective comprehensive solutions based on quotes and budgets.
- Design steel structures, conveyors, and electrical layouts, and develop material specifications, functional descriptions, and installation documentation.
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure functionality, quality, timelines, and budgets.
- Perform layout and design work in Autodesk Mechanical or Inventor.
- Manage BOM lists (Bill Of Materials) in Visma.
- Consult with customers on various solution proposals.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has at least two years of experience as a Project Engineer.
- Holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Possesses basic knowledge of mechanics, structural calculations, control systems, and automation.
- Is proficient in MS Office and CAD, preferably Autodesk Mechanical or Inventor.
- Is fluent in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.
- Holds a valid B driver’s license.
It is an advantage if you have experience in layout design, steel structures, and material specification.
